3rd Trimester

Today marks 27 weeks, now we are entering the home stretch of this pregnancy. The spring semester has started (although I only have 2 classes) and Marc has started grad school. We should be moving sometime in the near future. But since we are going to be renting my parents house when they move, we have been able to start on the nursery. I picked up the last bit of painting supplies we need and purchased the border and mobile. We will start repairing the walls and painting this weekend. I will post pictures of what we get done.

Here is what we picked out:

27 weeks
Baby's now the size of an eggplant!
Baby's lungs are going through some major developments these days, which (combined with the opening of previously plugged nostrils) means he's now able to practice inhaling and exhaling. The lack of air in your womb means every "breath" is filled with amniotic fluid, but hey -- it's progress.
He has been moving like crazy and responding to music and talking.

25 weeks

25 weeks

Whats been up:
Christmas is over and school is about to start back. Marc is back at work and my birthday is coming up. Only a little over 100 days until we meet John. We are getting prepared to move into a house, so the baby furniture has not been put together, although we already have it. I am excited about the 2 baby showers one in Cookeville hosted by Brenda (Grandma) Date to be announced. And the other in Lebanon hosted by Krys (Aunt) and Patti (Grandma) At 3:00 February 5th.
We finished our registries at Walmart and Target. And decided to cloth diaper.

Baby Development
Baby's hands are now fully developed and he spends most of his awake time groping around in the darkness of your uterus. Brain and nerve endings are developed enough now so that your baby can feel the sensation of touch. The baby weighs about a pound and a half and is about 13½ inches long.
